I have a masters degree in Education Administration. I have 10 years teaching experience in elementary education. My background is in Early Childhood education. I currently teach 4th grade and what I love most is bringing the small group instruction style I learned from early childhood education into the classroom with fourth graders. They love hands on learning and benefit substantially from the structure.
I strive to be a facilitator of learning in the classroom. I do not believe in "paper pushing". Each assignment should be relative to the objective and allow the student to show mastery of the skills learned. I believe students should be active, engaged learners responsible for their education. I am a hands on teacher and I enjoy working side by side with the students.
Cornerstone award winner two consecutive times, Great expectations teacher, STEM lead teacher.

I am married with three children. My youngest daughter was a former student we adopted. I believe teaching is my calling and I actually enjoy training.
