TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Shelli: This will be my 9th year teaching. My first year was crazy, but I was so excited to be teaching! I started out doing Title One for part of the day, and 7th and 8th grade Language Arts for the rest of the day. Mid-year they split the first grade class and I switched from Title to 1st, and still did Jr. High as well! After that crazy year I am very excited to say that I have been living out my dreams in 1st grade! I have also been on the RTI leadership committee for the last six years. Brittany: This will be my sixth year in second grade. I absolutely LOVE it! I think kids are amazing at this age. They are so willing and eager to learn.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We believe in meeting the needs of the whole child in a hands-on classroom with integrated curriculum. Our goal is to create an environment that makes our kiddos excited to come to school every day.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

We feel awarded every time we see that light bulb go off! We are lucky enough to teach at an age where we see non-readers become voracious readers.

We both have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
