Full time teacher at Second Level in Ireland. 3 years working as a part time tutor and moderator for Hibernia College (Teaching Training College) in Ireland Subjects: Music and Maths
My goal is always to have students discover material and then practise it. I also try to include the three elements of music Listening, Performance and Composition in my classes. My resources follow this pattern with either discovery or demonstration, followed by an opportunity for students to practise the skill as well as prior skills. I include answer sheets where applicable. I am also experimenting with the new Junior Cycle style with a focus on Learning Intentions for Students.

I found the books for Music in Ireland to be lacking in what I wanted when our school moved to IPADs 5 years ago so I started designing my own resources at that time. I largely avoid books in my teaching, preferring instead to work with my own resources (and others) and operating a google classroom and google drive for myself and my students
