I am Emily Huff, a high school Spanish and Psychology teacher at Denver High School. I am a strong believer in using effective technology in the classroom in order to support a learning environment that meets the needs and expectations of today’s students.
I use active, collaborative activities in the classroom. I consider myself a very creative person and bring that creativity to each lesson I do in the classroom. Social media plays a large role in the lives of our students and being able to take advantage of available technology allow me as a teacher to connect with the always changing skills of my students. Most of all, I feel that teachers cannot ignore the digital lives our today’s children and schools needs to nurture a technologically relevant and effective learning environment.

The diversity in my classroom preparation stems from my own personal diverse interests. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education and a Teaching Endorsement in Spanish from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. The psychology background has kept me in tune with the social needs of our students. I also have a Masters of Social Sciences at the University of Northern Iowa. The diversity of my own education helps me keep an open mind about the directions of my classes.
I appreciate all feedback!
