I have been teaching Special Education in Title I schools for the past four years and online English Language Learners for the past 2 years. With each year I have focused more and more on differentiation in order to meet each student's individual needs. It is my mission to make differentiation a simpler task with the products I offer on TPT.
Due the setting in which I serve, my instruction is heavily explicit. My first focus is always to make sure the child knows they are cared for. My second focus is to make sure they feel successful. Lessons are ultimately driven by the needs of my students. Those are the foundations for learning in my classroom.

Before going into Special Education, my work with an AmeriCorps program helped me discover my passion for teaching social and emotional skills to young people. In my teaching experience, I have concluded that social and emotional well being is the foundation for student learning.
