TEACHING EXPERIENCE

8 years teaching in high school, 4 years at community college/university.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've been teaching with a flipped classroom, starting my 5th year of the experiment. My students are disciplined first and then made to laugh - usually at my expense - later. Questions are encouraged, and I try to never answer a question that they can.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've bought several trophies at thrift stores.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BS Science with Secondary Math major from the University of Oregon. MAT from Oregon State University. MSMME (Masters of Science Mathematics Education) from Montana State University.

I coach ultimate frisbee at my high school and like to take my three sons bike riding and paddle boarding.
