TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a Sunday school teacher for six years. I worked with 2 years old all the way up to 3rd grade. I also taught 4th grade girls in Sunday school as well as lead all the children in the choir. I am currently homeschooling my youngest child who struggles in a normal school atmosphere - she gets 'A's on all her tests but fails to turn in her homework. With homeschooling I have the ability to help her learn at her pace and challenge her to do more.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands on and stations. I believe that each child has their own way of learning so being able to find that and help them grow in a way that is best for them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have not won awards for teaching, just for my own volunteer service and my own academics.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My highest level of education is a Sophomore in College - art school. I also have a year of early childhood education and a paralegal certificate. I also have many software certifications from online training in different software programs.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been a graphic designer/ digital scrapbook designer for the past 4 years. I also create mixed media paintings. As well as other inventions I can come up with. I love being able to create something from nothing and just have fun with it. I love teaching to children/teens to open their minds, get away from the TV or computer and just try something new. There is no 'I can't', it's always 'I will try.' Currently in the process of creating a few classes that will be taught on SkillShare.com to help with crafty projects.
