I taught in a self-contained classroom for elementary aged students for 3 years, I LOVED every second of it. I then become a behavior specialist in an elementary school and am going into my third year of that! I love working with students with disabilities but noticed quickly on how few resources we have as teachers and began creating resources on my own to help my students. Since doing this I have determined why not help others out and start sharing my work with others.
I like to teach with hands-on activities such as file folders and work task boxes. Almost everything I do is small group unless it is calendar time!
I have received a district reward that is only given out to 8 people a year due to my commitment to my job and the relationships I build with my families.
I graduated with a Bachelor's in both Childhood Education (K-6) and Special Education (birth-12) from SUNY Cortland, in Cortland, NY. I then moved to Florida and obtained teaching certificates in Childhood Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education. I went to University of Central Florida and earned an Autism Spectrum Disorder certificate and then went on to get my masters in Childhood Education with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
