I have taught third or fourth grade for the past 8 years. I teach in the same elementary school that I attended, with some of my former teachers.
I set high expectations for all children who step foot into my classroom. Learning is a life long process and it is my responsibilty to give children the ability to problem solve, as well as nurture and spark the love of learning.
I have won two grants that involved getting ELA materials for my classroom. I am also in the process of working on a grant with a coworker about the American Revolution and creating DBQs based on local historical documents.
I attended The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. I have a Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education and my Master's degree in Literacy.
