I just finished my 4th year of teaching - wow, how time flies! I have taught in two completely different school settings. Two years at a small, Christian academy in first grade and two years in an urban public school teaching third graders. I've enjoyed both of my experiences very much and I'm so thankful for all I've learned from my students, parents, and colleagues thus far. I cannot wait for the many years of teaching I have ahead of me!
I would say that I'm a very creative teacher who likes to find fun and exciting activities and lessons that will engage my students. I also like to develop strong rituals and routines right from the beginning of the school year which, I believe, leads to students who trust you and are comfortable with their classroom because they know what to expect and they know what you expect.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 2009. I feel so lucky to have received a wonderful education from some amazing and talented professors at River Falls. I also received my Kindergarten certification from St. Catherine University. I plan to begin my master's degree journey this fall.
I have three English bulldogs that I love so very much: Meaty, Cali, and Bertha! My husband is very supportive of me and we enjoy each others company very much. We both love sports - volleyball for me - and I love to go and watch his softball games during the warm summer nights. Life is good!
