TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Environmental science and a M.Ed (AYA Life Science). I have been teaching Biology for 3 years and recently created a new Forensics curriculum and working with End of Course remediation! :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in fostering respect, creativity and independence in the classroom. I use interactive notebooks to help students learn basic organization skills as well as to make learning more fun and relatable. I believe that failure is how we learn and helping students gain self-confidence and question the world around them.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to a college-prep high school and then attended a small Jesuit University in Cleveland, where I served in many high needs high schools working with at-risk youths. I was then fortunate enough to be awarded a position as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow at Ohio University where I obtained my master's degree in education.
