I have taught high school mathematics for five years in both public and private schools in California and Arizona and have department chair experience. Additionally, I worked at the university level teaching Secondary Teaching Methods to student teachers completing their credential. I was privileged to speak at the 2012 CAIS Southern Regional Conference on integrating technology into the math classroom.
I am a constructivist educator with a knack for technology integration. I believe that math is hands-on, interactive, and collaborative, and that explaining why and how students will apply the math they are learning is crucial. My lessons reflect my passions, which are math and technology, and demonstrate "Simply Teaching Simply" (teaching in a manner that produces more Aha!'s than Huh?'s)
