I have been teaching for four years. I have taught single gender classrooms, first the all boys class then the all girls class. I have taught third grade for two years and love it! My students are gifted students and I currently am working on my endorsement for gifted education. I love teaching gifted students and have based many of my lessons on critical thinking skills that are needed for gifted students.
I love structure, routines, and the ability to teach students responsibility. My classroom is organized so that the students can take ownership of their learning. We focus on setting goals for ourselves and work through workshops. I try to create products that are easy for the students to use on their own and are connected to higher levels of thinking.
