TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! I have over twelve years experience as a certified and licensed bilingual (English/Spanish) Speech Language Pathologist. I have worked as an SLP in both the public school setting and in private practice. My clients have ranged in age from as young as 3 to as old as 75. Although I love all my clients, the school-aged children are my preferred age range. Working with such a large range of clients, I've had to constantly make materials to meet their various and specific needs. It is both challenging and fun! I've also had a lifetime of experience watching my mother make materials for her students as she was a New York City Public School elementary school teacher for over 30 years teaching bilingual and gifted students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As an SLP, my style is specific to the client's needs. It is also very flexible so if my client is having a "breakdown", I can usually transition to a plan b, c, or d, relatively quickly!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated Magna Cum Laude (top 5% of the class). Recognized at the University of Central Florida for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Outstanding Service Activities.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. Masters of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida. Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a new mommy, so I 'm hoping to be able to sell some materials here to give me extra income so I can stay home with her a little longer. I love family time, spending time at the beach, and shopping! : )
