I have used this with all age groups and it's been useful when writing articles. My class wrote an article about Ned Kelly and had to use this proforma for their rough draft, and it helped those students who struggle with knowing where to start.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After having taught for five years at various schools, I am going back to relief teaching as I await the arrival of my first child in June. I spent three years working full time at a private school as a classroom teacher in Adelaide, Australia. I worked as a year 6 teacher for two years, and most recently as a year 3 teacher. This was by far my favourite year level! The previous two years I worked as an Australian History Teacher for Primary school students, 0.2 year 5/6 Class Teacher, 0.2 New Arrivals Teacher (Art), and part time relief teacher. Prior to teaching, I worked in a bakery, in an OSHC / Vacation care centre, as a special education tutor, in a bookroom, teaching sport for 2-5 year olds; then to England to work as an aupair, regular babysitter, cleaner, waitress, library assistant, special education SSO; then back to Australia to work with children in state care, in the court system, and then as a teacher. As you can see, I love working with children!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am firm but friendly, and believe that respect and relationships are at the core of teaching. I respect my students, and expect the same in return. I work hard for my students, and I expect them to work hard top. I love seeing them push through and succeed!
