I started out in a fifth grade classroom for one year and then moved to third grade where I have remained (happily!) since 2004.
I believe teaching is an art. I love to "hook" my students into what we are learning about through my own enthusiasm. Whether it is jumping for joy for correct answers, using funny voice accents for alter egos, or simply getting lost in the lesson with discussion... I want my students to fall in love with learning... just like I did when I was their age.

I have a BS in Biology and a minor in Organic Chemistry. Originally, I wanted to go into Veterinary Medicine but changed my mind and went back to school for a degree in elementary education. I have since completed my masters.
I love the outdoors! I'm an avid fly fisher, snowboarder, runner, and soccer player. I simply love life!
