I have fifteen years' teaching experience in both public and private schools. I have taught English Language Arts, ESL, Spanish, German, creative writing, and a film course on the work of Alfred Hitchcock.
I am a firm believer in getting to know my kids as individuals. I like to draw on their own interests and backgrounds to better engage them in the classroom. In middle school, engagement is the name of the game! I feel you have to meet kids where they are, rather than where you wish they were.
