Teaching comes naturally to me, because I love talking about things that I am passionate about. Language is beautiful in all its parts: grammar and syntax, phonetics and phonology, semantics and pragmatics. When the students see how much I care about what I teach, they immediately feel a stronger connection to the material because I try my hardest to make it relevant to them. If my students are interested in the environment, I will make sure that their readings and projects revolve around that. If they ask me to talk about current event, I'll ask them to bring in an article they found to be interesting. No matter what I am teaching, I always make sure that the students' needs and interests are taken into consideration and, if possible, incorporated into the lesson.

Born in Switzerland, I lived the first 20 years of my life in Italy. I've always been fascinated by languages. As a child, I spoke Italian and Swiss German perfectly, but I was always intrigued by English. The soundtrack of my childhood was strictly The Beatles, played on my dad's turntable. When I was about 6 years old, my parents gave me a book that had about 20 Beatles' songs translated in Italian, next to the original text. That's when I started learning English on my own. I am a very creative person, but also very structured, which is the perfect mix for a content creator.
