TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 15th year of teaching, 14 of them in sixth grade and one in seventh. I have taught all subjects and enjoy each one. It's hard to decide which I like best! I am currently teaching Communication Arts, which combines Reading and Writing in 6th grade. mentoringinthemiddle.blogspot.com

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a pretty hands-on kind of teacher. I think reading and writing are tied together, so a lot of my lessons combine the two. I also believe there's enormous satisfaction in working hard and I try to create products that engage students while making them think.
