MY TEACHING STYLE

I bring my enthusiasm and love of the performing arts into my classroom. I'm an unabashed nerd, and that enthusiasm is contagious. It's important to me as a teacher to never stop learning, especially in the performing arts where I have to be a jack-of-all-trades. I believe that theater arts training helps students no matter what they want to be in life.

I believe that learning is the most effective when it is rooted in passion, and I give my students as many opportunities as possible to tie their learning to something they care about. I try to tell funny stories during lectures and keep history connected to the present. I have been known to rap Shakespeare.
