TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach Grade 5 Classroom, but I have over a decade of teaching experience in both suburban and urban schools with high populations of ELL and SpEd inclusion students, including K-8 music, middle school science, middle school math, and grade 5 classroom. I have also served on curriculum alignment teams preparing and implementing the transition to Common Core mathematics standards in Grades 5-8.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands-on and multi-sensory; very musical. I teach with a mix of whole-class activities, journal work and small-group stations. As artistic as I consider myself, I tend to create clean, uncluttered materials for my students. (Apologies to those who like flashy colors and bubbly frames.)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Feedback and suggestions are always appreciated, although I don't always respond it's just a quick positive comment. If you have a specific topic in 5th-7th grade math you're having trouble finding resources for, let me know and I might be able to put something together for you. Thanks for stopping by my store and helping me fund my own TpT addiction!
