TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 8 years in the Pacific Northwest. During these 8 years I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Algebra Support, Geometry Support, Math in Art, and AP Calculus AB and BC. Recently, I have been part of a district committee to help with the transition to the Common Core Math Standards.

I prefer to have my students work in groups and engage with the material at their own pace. I strive to create a comfortable, safe, and engaging classroom where students share their ideas and learn from problem solving.

I earned a BS in Mathematics and a MAT at the University of Puget Sound.

I currently reside in Oregon with my husband and beautiful 1.5 year old daughter. I have taken the past year off to stay home with my daughter and enjoy these precious few years of her life.
