I am a fifth grade departmentalized reading teacher. I have taught fifth grade for over three years, including math, science, social studies, and writing.
My teaching style consist of establishing a development of effective social, speaking and listening skills using cooperative learning strategies in the classroom. Implementing these strategies, I believe will enable students to respond more clearly and develop ways to demonstrate more questioning skills before, during, and after reading selections and discussions.
Educational Award from Kappa Delta Pi 2015 Phenix City Education Foundation Award for Book Club Literacy Group I became a member of the Kappa Delta Pi ( International Honor Society in Education), and while completing my Masters, I became a member of Golden Key International Honour's Society. Awarded in 2015 School District's "Above and Beyond' nomination
I earned my Bacholars in Elementary Education from Troy University. I hold a Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. In 2015, I completed my Master's certificate in Integrating Technology in the Classroom .
