TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have two years of experience teaching English 10, English 10 Honors, Public Speaking, and Creative Writing. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so all of my products are constantly being modified to suit my students' needs. Growing and learning with my students is very important to me, so I rarely use the same worksheet, handout, test, etc from year to year.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I build my classroom around creativity and movement. Understanding that each student is different and that each student interprets or expresses their intelligence differently makes me constantly offer choices. Most of my classes are very writing-based, even public speaking. I'm always trying new things to keep my students engaged and connecting with material.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education in 2011. English has been a huge part of my life since high school thanks to a certain 9th grade English teacher. I am equally as passionate about education as I am about English.
