I taught 1st grade for five years before making the switch to middle school where I taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I'm currently a board member with the Washington State Council for the Social Studies. Additionally, I have served as a Teacher Leader for the Ambassador Leadership summits at Tulane University and Harvard University. My experience includes teaching in the public school, as well as private schools, and homeschool sector.
Hands-on learning, and lots of visuals!

I'm a wife to an outdoor enthusiast and bonus-mom to two teenage kids. We live on a small lake in Washington state year-round, and the beauty and peacefulness is something I don't take for granted. We are actively involved in our church and community. I love to travel, and have visited over 14 countries around the world. Follow me on instagram @mrsmcdonaldsclassroom
