TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach 3rd grade. My students are predominately low-income and are mostly from non-English speaking backgrounds. 40% of my students are English Learners. My prior experience includes teaching 1st grade, kindergarten, and preschool.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach using a balanced literacy and balanced math framework. Within the classroom my lessons are differentiated to 2-3 different levels. I use several different student groupings thoughout the day including mixed ability, Kaegan H-M/M-L, and homogenous groups based on reading level, reading fluency, and English developmental level.
