TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Welcome to my store! I've also provided a link to my Teachers Pay Teachers Blog : http://michellerossiideasforteachersandstudents.wordpress.com/ My name is Michelle Rossi and I've had plenty of experience within the classroom, as I have just stepped back into teaching. I've had many long-term teaching positions teaching language arts, math, science and art. Most of my responsibilities included lesson planning, assessing, administering state exams, parent- teacher conferences, grade bookkeeping and modifying lessons for non-English speaking students and autistic students. I have taught 21st Century and created an Anti-Bullying Video with my students. We received a special video introduction from my dear friend Gary W. Goldstein (the movie producer of Pretty Woman, Under Siege, and Mothman.) He encouraged my students to be themselves on camera and to just have fun with it. His advice really helped my students as they enjoyed gaining insight from a successful movie producer.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to inspire and motivate my students into being the best that they can be. I am a teacher who pays close attention to classroom management, I'm the delegator, the student-centric type of teacher because I strongly believe in differentiated instruction and adapting lesson plans so all students can learn. I also love to involve my students to think creatively to enhance their learning. I encourage my students by also teaching them the concepts of the lesson, this leads students to a higher level of thinking.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

A Bachelor of Science degree and a Michigan certificate in elementary education, 2004. Oakland University professional courses required preparation in all subjects’ level K-8. Being placed in different school districts has helped me gain a better understanding of the challenges children face because of diversity. My abilities to differenciate learning through engaging all students during lectures has helped students gain a better perspective upon understanding the concepts behind each subject taught. My motivational skills would inspire any child. It is a teacher’s goal to educate our children and prepare them, as they become closer to stepping out into our world.
