TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching middle school for 18 years. I teach (and always have taught) in a large urban school district. I currently teach math to 7th graders but I have taught 7th and 8th grade science, Pre-Algebra, Health, and Social Studies. I was a substitute teacher for three years prior to finding my full-time spot. These experiences allowed me to see that middle school is where my heart truly lies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use Differentiated Instruction and Layered Curriculum. My classes are generally 30+ kiddos with skill levels from Special Educ. to Gifted students. This style allows me to meet everyone's needs. My items may not be "flashy" but they help me "get the job done".
