I have spent the last three years teaching in two charter schools within the state of Ohio. I have taught grades 4-9 in both language arts and social studies. Middle school is not popular with many, but I love my kids! I enjoy creating materials to use and sharing them with other teachers.
All students learn differently and in order for us, as teachers, to truly help students learn, we need to teach on their level. I try and incorporate various levels of activities in my classroom for the many ability levels that occur in one class.
I am a member of the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success as well as a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. I was given the opportunity to pilot a virtual coaching program for the state of Ohio and it has been such a great experience. I welcome feedback on my teaching ability and I have really enjoyed learning more about myself as a teacher.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in language arts and social studies. I am currently working on my master's degree at Xavier University. My master's degree will be in Educational Administration.
