TEACHING EXPERIENCE

What can I say? Middle school is my passion, and I've been all over it: 8th grade ELA, 6th grade science, 7th grade social studies, and (finally!) 7th grade math! I have a total of 12 years experience in rural East Tennessee schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My ADD has been a gift when it comes to my teaching. I hate being still, and I hate quiet. My classroom has been described as "chill" and "zen". There is always music playing, from Otis Redding to cello music. I am always interested in the why behind an answer and connecting the classroom to adulthood.
