TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting my store. I am a Special Education teacher in Geneva, Il. For the last two years, I have been fortunate enough to co-teach 6th grade general education math, as well as teach various math interventions for all levels of middle school!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a firm believer in the importance of a growth mentality, and being a life long learner. I find it important to provide my students with ample opportunities to be successful within their education. I also stress self-directed learning with my students, and celebrate every single one of my students successes. Working with the population of students that I work with, it is important to understand that math has always been a struggle for them. This may foster the "I'm not good at math" mentality. It is my personal goal to ensure that all of my students find success in mathematics, and are intrinsically motivated to not only learn more, but to always search for the "why" behind it.
