TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Currently teaching 6th and 7th Language Arts and Social Studies, working in content-area and grade level teams to teach integrated curriculum to block classes. I also teach Reading Improvement to middle school students, using the READ 180 curriculum. Highly qualified to teach history, civics, economics, geography, language arts, English, and speech.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Handouts use less clip art, and focus on critical thinking content! Designs engaging and interactive lessons with clear learning targets, Rubrics can be used with traditional grading or Standards-Based Grading. Lessons are aligned with Common Core Standards! Middle School Minds is dedicated to providing guided reading handouts that encourage students to think critically. Close reading of the text causes students to be more focused and engaged in discussions.
