Before I became a principal, I was a Nationally Board Certified Master Teacher who provided service to cross-curricular staff in grades 5-8. My background includes teaching language arts in grades 7-12 in which I re-certified my National Board Certification, and I earned a Master’s Degree in Education (Management). I just left Paradise Honors High School, which under my tenure became top-rated school in Arizona and the nation. I am now principal back home in Ohio at Shore Middle School where I started my career. My opportunities have led me to hold positions as an adjunct instructor at Ashland University, a Mastery Learning Facilitator in Perry, Ohio, as well as receiving the Governor’s Educational Leadership Award from the State of Ohio as well as earning a ranking from Newsweek in my current high school as being in the top 1.8% in the nation (2015). On a personal note, my wife and I foster and adopt children. We currently have eight, which is a long way from our "one and done" days. Jesus, indeed, has a sense of humor.
