I have been teaching for 13 years in a combination of general education and special education. I taught adult education (vocational studies) for a total of 3 years. I thrive on staying abreast and knowledgeable of all the new advances and techniques in educational research. My area of consistent research and passion is in the stages brain development and the cognitive processes of learning development.
My teaching style is a combination of the whole child centered, brain based approach, interactive, and collaborative approach to learning. These combined methods of teaching styles allows me the advantage and leverage of built in differentiation, so that I create a learning environment that centers on leaving, "NO CHILD BEHIND".
Deans list honor student for 4 years, receiving a degree of distinction as Magna Cum Laude for General Education Pre-K - 8 and Special Education Mild to Moderate K-12.
My area of teaching degrees and certification are in the areas of General Education Pre-K to 8 and Special Education Mild to Moderate K-12. Currently in a Masters Program for Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Reading.
