When I first got out of college I was a paraprofessional for students with Special Needs. I then taught 6th grade ELA/Writing. After that I went to 6th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. Then I landed my dream job (5 years now), teaching Severely Emotionally Impaired Students grades K-4 (currently) at our ISD.
It always changes! I have to teach my students the way they learn. Sometimes that changes yearly, sometimes daily! The excitement is always there!
.
I have a Bachelors in Science: Elementary Education (Science and Social Studies minors) and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction (Special Education Concentration: EI & LD)
I am a mom, wife, and teacher! I have a 2 year old son who keeps me crazy busy but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Being a Mom rocks! I live in Northern Michigan and couldn't ask for a better place to raise my son and have fun with my family. :)
