Here is another alternative to school counselor documentation forms. Use this for students you see on a regular basis. I keep these in a binder by grade level and add information as I work with students. I keep my binders close by so I can quickly

Bulletin Board Idea! I put this board up at the beginning of the year. The chef shirt came from Hobby Lobby, and the utensils came from the teacher's lounge! I used construction paper to make the chef's face, hands, and hat. Staple it all up and

Bulletin Board Idea! I did some lessons with the entire school focusing on empathy, so I put this bulletin board up to go along with it. I put a request for old tennis shoes into the parent newsletter and strung them up to go along with this board.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been an elementary school counselor for 12 years (and have loved every minute!) and currently work in a K-5 elementary school. I work with students via classroom guidance, small groups, and individual meetings. I am also the Intervention Assistance Team coordinator and the 504 Plan coordinator for my building. When I'm not taking part in one of the aforementioned duties, I am kept busy with all the other random things that come my way each day! All of my Teachers Pay Teachers items are those that I originally created for use within my own school counseling program and found to be helpful.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to connect with students on a level that allows them to feel comfortable learning and sharing with me. Creating positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community is what keeps my program going and the show running!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Recognized educator in April 2017 by the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce in a community "Salute to Education."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counselor Education from the University of Toledo.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a wonderful family - 2 kids, 1 on the way coming April 2019, 3 dogs, and 1 cat!

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
