I've been providing speech/language services in the public school, and private clinical settings for over 13 years. Although I love all areas of my profession, my passion tends to lean towards students who are limited verbal and/or non-verbal communicators, and students who exhibit challenging behaviors. I am a current member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and I am a licensed SLP in the state of Kansas.
Hands on, individualized approach to learning. Thinking outside the box, and letting my students needs guide the interventions.
Recently, I was awarded district classroom grants (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018). The grants were used to purchase video modeling equipment, therapy tools, and other visual aides to assist with expressive language and the writing process in the classroom.
I graduated from Wichita State University with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
I am a wife, mother, and full-time Speech Language Pathologist. I currently work in the public school setting, providing speech and language services to students in Early Childhood through 5th grades. I created The Speech Bucket to share resources I've created over the years with other professionals.
