TEACHING EXPERIENCE

A bit about me... I attended UW Stout and received a Bachelors of Art Education. My first job was in a rural city in Wisconsin teaching high school. My husband moved from his position to try construction management so I followed him to Minnesota. Here I got a job as a preschool teacher and shortly after I was working in an urban school in Minneapolis. I taught Elementary for one year under that contract. I then moved to a suburban area where I was a traveling teacher with no room, on a cart/ in the teacher's lounge/in the cafeteria. But I was teaching Art and loving the elementary level. After 3 years I got a full-time job, great room and wonderful students at Rogers Elementary in Rogers Minnesota. During this time I took my Masters of Education from St. Mary's University. I worked at RES for a total of 7-years when a retirement in the Middle School came up. I was able to apply and was accepted for what was an amazing experience with middle school students. I worked 3-years at Rogers Middle School and last year was asked to travel again. I was moved from shifts in our district and now am in my 5th year working at Hassan Elementary. I teach on a 6-day rotation teaching about 750 students. I have had the opportunity to teach adults as well. I taught as an adjunct teacher at the University of St. Cloud, as well as being an online instructor with The Art of Education University. I present often at conferences for technology and Art Education.
