I have been teaching preschool for a little over 10 years now. I have taught a variety of early childhood education classrooms with the longest being with four and five year olds. I have worked with Early Head Start and am currently conducting Success by 6 which is sponsored by The United Way.
I believe that children learn best by hands-on experiences and do my best to provide real world objects and activities. I hold art and creativity in high standards when teaching any subject so children are able to express themselves no matter what they may be learning.
CDA certification received Fall 2011, CPR and First Aid certified,
I currently have my CDA certificate and am working with all my might towards my degree in Early Childhood Education. As of fall 2012, I am two courses away from my Associates with plans to continue through to my Bachelors and further to my Masters.
Hi! My name is Miranda. I am 31 years old and currently live in Adamsville along with my fiancé and our menagerie of pets. I have been working in childcare since February of 2002 and I have enjoyed every day. Aside from working in childcare, my main interest is animals and animal rescue. My family and I have worked in the rescue and aid of animals for as long as I can remember. If a stray needed a home, we provided it. If a rescue center needed volunteers, we volunteered. Our passion is the rescue and education on pit bulls. Due to our love of helping those in need, my house is currently occupied by two adults, five dogs, three cats, two parakeets, two fish and one iguana. I also enjoy reading in my spare time. My favorite genre is science fiction and fantasy and sometimes a little quantum physics and books pertaining to space.
