I have been teaching for 16 years. Two of those years included teaching as a special education teacher at a high school. I have been teaching as a special education teacher at a middle school for the remainder of those years. I team-teach in 7th grade language arts and math classes, as well as teach reading programs, and teach basic skills classes. I am licensed to teach grades K-12 to all disability areas.
When team-teaching in general education classes, my favorite style to teach would include stations and centers, keeping whole-group instruction to a minimum. Differentiated instruction through reading lexile-levels or grade-level passages allows students to grasp grade-level concepts, while reading text at their individual reading levels.

I love spending time with my two boys, my husband, and my family and friends. This is my 16th year teaching, and I continue to learn and grow with each year!
