I've spent 5 years teaching in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. Third grade is my sweet spot, but I've also enjoyed teaching English in middle school. I'm currently getting my masters degree in Educational Policy, and I'm planning to develop curriculum someday, too. I love spending time with my big pup, Rugby, devouring any book I can get my hands on, & doing adventuring of my own!
The pillars of my teaching are the same as my business: -It is our duty as educators to raise generation after generation of conscientious, empathetic, and open-minded American citizens. -In order to do this well, we should constantly uplift the cultures of oppressed people until every student understands the true beauty of diversity and inclusion. -Technology is one of the best ways to engage students and keep things fun! -Movement should be incorporated into lessons whenever possible.
Creating a Multi-Cultural Club after school that became a smashing success!

Ultimately, I believe education is the most effective way to create true change, and we need to be having explicit conversations in every classroom to combat oppression in all its forms. My hope is that my resources spark important dialogues in your classroom, while also challenging your students with rigorous questions and offering them knowledge in a fun and engaging way!
