TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my teaching career in 2009, and I currently teach a Intermediate Intense Resource Room for students with Multiple Disabilities. I work with students with a wide variety of skills and abilities, across multiple grade levels. Therefore, in my classroom we cover a large range of content in language arts and math, as well as, science, social skills, body awareness, and sensory motor activities. Everyday is a new, fun and exciting experience!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching fun, engaging lessons that get my students excited about learning. I enjoy using a multi-sensory approach so I can reach all my students learning abilities. Creating differentiated lessons is a key component in my classroom!

I attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master's in Education. I hold a Intervention Specialist License: Mild to Moderate.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in Beavercreek, Ohio with my wonderful husband and 3 adorable children. My daughter is 6, and just started Kindergarten this Fall. My boys are 2 and 4 years old, and full of energy. I love yoga and obtained my Yoga Teacher Certification a few years ago. I sub classes at a local studio when time allows, but do yoga with my students everyday! I also love art and drawing, and I am learning how to create my clipart and illustrate my own social stories. Hopefully, I will be uploading some of my designs in the near future! Life right now is crazy, busy, and bundles of fun! I'm excited to start sharing materials on Teachers Pay Teachers as I create them, or take a nap if I get a chance!
