Hello! My name is Madison and I am currently a 3rd grade teacher in South Carolina. This is my second year teaching and I am absolutely thrilled to continue my journey in my very favorite grade! My favorite subjects to teach are math and social studies, specially South Carolina history! I love being in the classroom and designing resources to use in the classroom to better help out my kiddos.
One of the things I love most about teaching is the flexibility that's involved in teaching. I remember many days where I was in the middle of a lesson and as I continued to look into my kiddos eyes, they were LOST! Usually I had one of two options - pause for the day, pick up tomorrow with something a little different OR change everything right then and there. Whip out the math manipulatives, get out dry erase markers and write on our desks, sing a song, WHATEVER it takes to spruce up what we're currently doing and get our brains working in a different way! While this can sometimes be intimidating and frustrating to have to change everything you're doing at that moment in time, it is also thrilling and so rewarding. That "AH-HA" moment is the absolute BEST moment.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.
When I am not busy planning or prepping for the upcoming week, I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my dog, Wiley, and being with my friends and family. Anyone who knows me knows that I am addicted to gummy and sour candy...I always have the stash in my classroom! I also enjoy cleaning and organizing things to make them easier to use. I have always had a love for designing and creating new activities to try in the classroom, so TPT is clearly the perfect place for me!
