I have been teaching for 7 years in Remedial Education. We work with children that have average or above average IQ's but who find it difficult to learn in a mainstream environment. We give these children the tools to be able to go back into mainstream and become successful. I work with an holistic team consisting of Speech Therapists, occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Remedial Therapists. Now I have decided to travel the world a bit. So now I am teaching at an International school in Oman!
I teach in a multidisciplinary way. I encompass all senses into my teaching as children do not learn only in a 2D way. In fact, most children need heir senses stimulated in order to really take in what they are being taught. In my class and lessons their are lots of opportunities to learn through play, dancing, singing, tasting and a number of other activities.
