I started out teaching ESL to French speakers here in Quebec for two years and then moved on to being a homeroom teacher in English Elementary Schools. I have taught all grades at some point in time but since becoming a homeroom teacher, I have spent most of my time teaching kindergarten, first grade and fourth grade. I am currently teaching first grade.
I am a teacher who believes that building relationships with students and their families is the key to student learning. I have high expectations for what my students can achieve and learn. I also have high standards and expectations for myself. I always want to learn and improve. Mostly, now that I am a mother, I teach the way I would like for my daughter, who has special needs, to be taught.
