TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a new teacher. I have finished my student teaching, which I performed in a 12th grade Special Ed. self contained classroom. I got my first full time job teaching resource room 9th and 10th graders. I am about to begin the 2014-2015 school year with Sophomores in high school both in an in-class support setting and in 2 different levels of self-contained classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I employ a variety of teaching methods. I do a lot of discussions with my students. However, I also try to work on close reading and projects with my students. I want to teach them to think more individually and to learn from real life scenarios.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I graduated from school summa cum laude. I was also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society.
