I have been lucky enough to have taught in several different levels of education. This has allowed to see where students are coming from and where they are going. I have taught 2nd, 5th, 9th, and I am currently teaching 4th grade. The variety of experience gives me a lot of confidence in terms of how to prepare my students for the future.
I love to get to know my students well enough so that I know their academic strengths and weaknesses. This then allows me to know which students require more assistance, time, different learning materials, translations, partner work, etc. In order words, it helps me plan better lessons. I can ultimately get all of the students toward my main, common goals by doing this.
Yet to be added
I am so proud of being able to work at the same elementary school I attended from kindergarten through fifth grade! After attending public school for six years, I completed my education in private school. I then attended Santa Clara University. I got my bachelor's degree from there and I also went to the SCU grad program for education.
My goal is to help teachers by providing useful tools that can help them in the classroom. We already have enough on our plates and I always appreciate anything that will encourage my students to work hard and learn more.
