TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I recently graduated from University with a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Middle), and am looking for a job. I currently am a Relief Teacher in several schools, and I LOVE mucking around with ICTs, Microsoft Powerpoint and Word, and Interactive Whiteboards. I'm a fan of publishing my own materials, and thought this might be a good place to share them!

MY TEACHING STYLE

The foundations school lay for us are the basis to enable us to participate in today’s fast-paced, modern and visually dynamic society. I believe that my job is to educate children on what they need to know, and teach them things they didn’t know that they didn’t know. I want to expose them to the issues facing our society, like poverty, injustice, and the biased power of the media, and I want to inspire. My aim is to create passion in the hearts of my students, about life and learning.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm one of those lucky people who loves their job and their life :) I consider teaching to be a noble job, and, at times, a profession for the brave. I find that I absolutely THRIVE with Year 6/7's. I love beautiful things. I love paper flowers, old books, and beautiful photographs (which I both collect from others and take myself). I collect beer bottle caps, which is extremely difficult because, even though they’re so beautiful, I never drink much beer myself. I don’t know what I’m going to DO with the bottle caps yet, but I’ll figure it out at some point... I enjoy spending times with loved ones: my family, my friends, and of course, my lovely boyfriend. He is furry, cuddly, and a very sexy mechanic. I didn't know a thing about cars until he came along.
