I am currently student teaching in a high school Spanish room, teaching Spanish 1, 2, 3, and 4! I have already completed my Special Education student teaching and will graduate in May 2019. I have gone to University for six years in order to get a degree in Special Education (K-12) and a degree in Spanish for Education (K-12.) The many classes I have had, volunteer hours I have completed and student teaching experiences have given me the skills to create interesting and effective resources with fresh ideas for Spanish classrooms of all ages and abilities.
I teach to my students, plain and simple. It is my job to find out what works for each of them and to take that into consideration when I am creating lesson content and unit plans. I want my class to be as interesting and fun to my students as possible in a way that makes learning easy so that they can all excel.
My biggest award yet is seeing my students' faces when something finally clicks and they feel proud of themselves.
I grew up going to Holland Public Schools in Holland, MI. When I turned twelve, I moved to England, where I completed middle school and high school at a vigorous public grammar school, The Priory LSST. Once I graduated from there, I immediately started attending Central Michigan University. I will graduate in May 2019 with a a degree in Spanish for Education and a degree for Special Education, I will be certified to teach K-12 in both subject areas.
I love to enjoy life. I am a positive person who likes to see the good in everyone and everything. I love my family and I love my animals. I love my classroom and I love teaching! Always look on the bright side of life and the bright side of your students.
