I have been teaching Health and Physical Education for two years. My first year I taught K-4 and my second year 8th grade. I student taught 9th grade Health and Physical Education for 5 months. Outside of teaching I work as a summer camp counselor and as a sports instructor.
I love creating unique things for my students to help them in the learning process. I strongly believe in reinventing wheel for students to keep them interested in the learning process. I also love to focus on student-centered learning. I feel that this demonstrate an understanding at a whole new level. Not only does it allow students to work at their own pace but give them learning options in how they would like the information delivered. As a teacher, it allows me to work more closely with students who may need the extra assistance.

I graduated with my bachelors in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Coaching from Chowan University. I then attended Liberty University for two semesters for my masters. I currently hold both a North Carolina and Virginia Teaching License. I hope to continue my education to continue with my Masters as well as finish classes to become a Physical Therapist.
I love hanging out with my family and my two cats. I enjoy antiquing, refinishing old furniture, crocheting, and binge watching my favorite shows in my spare time.
